[New Blog Post] Justice Kennedy on California’s 3 Strikes Law

On February 3 Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu hosted a Q&A with the Honorable Anthony Kennedy.

Lots of interesting things were said from AK, but this one is especially noteworthy:

"California's 3-strikes law emanated from the electorate, and the sponsor of the initiative was the correctional officers association—"and that is sick."  California has 185,000 people in prison, and the cost is astounding."
